ONE FORTY PLUS: If you want to be truly... →
jhnmyr:
If you want to be truly intimidating,
If you want to make an impact,
If you want to have strong connections with others
just be sincere.
Sarcasm is not an attitude, and it’s not a personality trait. It’s a style of rhetoric meant to be used occasionally to highlight a larger point. Saying…
Damn straight.

Zach Braff,
I would like to thank you again for making Garden State. Every time I finish watching it I feel a little bit down, but refreshed. It always makes me realize what’s important to me. Good work.
Sincerely,
Me

The Ballad of Jack and Rose
I just laughed so hard.
I read an article a few minutes ago about how the Titanic was found on this day in 1985 and then yelled out to Mark, “OH MY GOD! THEY FOUND THE TITANIC…” Before I could finish the rest of my exclamation he said, “Really!?” Mark was unaware that the Titanic had already been found. I then proceeded to say, “…on this day in...

It’s always right when it’s starting to get light outside and he wants me to come open the blinds to the sliding patio door. The issue I have is that he has woken me up consistently while right on the cusp of an amazing...
Stunning Sherlock
I have begun to watch the newest revamp of Sherlock Holmes on the BBC and it is amazing! It certainly breaks the mold of most previous adaptations of the series. Each episode is 1.5 hours long and really allows the viewer time digest the story and make their own assumptions, which is certainly a departure from other Holmes pieces. What I really love is the cinematography. It is absolutely...

hidden treasures
I just had one of those completely [insert one of far too many adjectives to describe how I felt at that instant] moments where I realized what I’m really working toward and what is truly important to me. It knocked me on my ass to say the least.
I have had in my possession a picture that was given to me a long time ago and has traveled with me everywhere. It’s something I look at...

Lessons from Sherlock Holmes: Paying Attention to...
Today’s lesson from Sherlock Holmes is,in a sense, the most difficult to apply on a regular basis: pay attention to what isn’t there, not just what is. Absence is just as important and just as telling as presence.
The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime: what doesn’t happen matters as much as what does
It is precisely on this distinction that Holmes bases his insight in “Silver Blaze.”...
I love when you get down to the end of the roll and the very last piece is the exact amount you needed. Pure bliss.
